“That a story can’t be received doesn’t mean that it does not worth to be sent” Segaki

For a number of years I have been developing a body of work with references of my personal life.
My work is as much as possible a faithful portrait of my experiences and it attempts to fulfill the need of communicating states of being and beliefs. It also is a commitment to highlight certain human values that I would like to promote.
I live and work, committed to myself but also the Other. I act pretending not only to fulfill myself but also for the betterment of society, if possible.
I’m constantly looking for my origin, for my identity, and for signs or signals that will make me feel like an integral part of this system. I talk about my yearnings as a woman and as a sensitive being. I tell of the truths of my inner self.
I discovered that the expressions which one considers intimate, personal and not transferable, become, through art, a cause of reflection for many and therefore a connecting cord to the world.
Back in 1999 I was asked to create a character in order to speak about “Identity”. I was asked to define his essence and to define his personality. In doing so, I recreate myself and represent my story.
I have since made works which communicate positive moods, which generally try to make us come to terms with life and its obstacles in a friendly way.
When realizing my projects I cast a spell on myself, I exorcise myself of fears and reconcile with the differences.
In my specific case, within the search for a personal language or the one closest to my being, I have experimented with various techniques. Each time I assume a type of expression I take it up with the same passion trying not to deviate from my discourse. To me, versatility is important.
I’m conscious of the basic sufferings of human beings, as birth, aging, sickness, death... how to overcome them?
IN THE OPPORTUNITIES OFFERED BY THE REALITIES OF DAILY LIFE I FIND MY MOTIVATION...
